Since I Am Alive
The probability of meeting another person is one in seven billion. Amid the overwhelmingly greater number of people we will never meet in our lifetime, whether to take this as coincidence or as inevitability is a difficult call.
The one thing I do feel is that, at the very least, it is without doubt precious.
There are those I meet only once, and there are those it grows into a long acquaintance with.
And through meeting people, one’s own life can be swayed this way and that.
Often, in my case, the worse my first impression of someone, the more likely it is that, before I know it, we’ve become good friends.
In the life ahead, just how many people will I get to meet anew, and among them, with how many can I share good, moving moments?—this I want to add as one of my new challenges. Because it feels to me that the greater that number grows, the more it leads to a victory in life for me.
