FLOWER ARTIST
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from California College of the Arts (CCA) in 1982. While leading the contemporary floral design world, he served as the President of Mami Flower Design School—a pioneer of floral design in Japan—from 2006 to 2013, dedicating himself to nurturing the next generation of creators.
In 2014, seeking to expand his creative expression, he founded KTION Co., Ltd. Centered around his unique visual concept, "HANA GRAPHIC ART," he has established cross-disciplinary collaborations spanning apparel, architecture, and interior design, continuously advocating a "New Flower Culture" that enriches modern living.
His creative practice ranges from dynamic spatial installations to delicate floral works, threaded throughout by a deeply respectful perspective that honors plants as living beings.
In 2015, he was selected as one of 27 world-renowned floral artists in FORMIDABLE FLORISTS, published in Belgium. He is also the author and editor of numerous publications.
