Enjoy Sound and It’s Music; Bring Sound to Life and It’s Sound Design

The effects that music and sound bring are important.

Think about it: if the most moving scene in a film had no background music, there might be no swell of feeling, no tears. If a leisurely piece of classical music played during the footrace at a sports day, you might not catch the momentum and might not set a record. If the chime of an emergency bulletin were a sound with the nuance of “please act calmly,” people might not be agitated into panic and could act coolly. If hard rock were blaring at the dentist’s, you might not relax, and the pain might grow.

Indeed, it feels to me that the effects that appeal to our hearing have a tremendous power to amplify the workings of our hearts.

If the signal sounds that play in our country’s public facilities, and the chimes that sound at schools, factories, and homes, became more wonderful sound effects, I feel that dignity and cultural refinement would rise, and social life would feel all the richer.
