From Three Dimensions to Two

When something changes its form from the world of three dimensions into the world of two, one way to express solidity more effectively is to layer one thing over another. Large and small forms, strong and weak colors, light and shade — I run into a wall that my own powers could never overcome. Thinking of it, the human eye really is remarkably well made. Still, with gratitude to the photographers who get past these walls and bring the work across more effectively than I could, I took on the world of two dimensions in my own way, keeping solidity in mind.
