The Succession of Life

Bamboo as a “bridge of life,” linking Itchiku Kubota and the second-generation master. And the flower of life that blooms upon it. This work takes as its theme the dream and the spirit handed on from Itchiku Kubota to his successor — the spirit of “Itchiku Tsujigahana,” built up and polished over half a century. What I wanted to express was that succession.
